THE NEW I-64 PROJECT
ST. LOUIS COUNTY
KEI performed detailed Property and Topographic Surveys for the improvements to I-64 for Section 1, from Spoede Road east to McKnight Road and for Section 2, from McKnight Road east to Bellevue Avenue. Surveying services included locating utilities that have been “potholed”, surveying sanitary and storm sewer systems, surveying existing topographic features of existing retaining walls, surveying the tie-in locations for ramps and bridges, and surveying the location of soil borings associated with geotechnical exploration for this project. KEI prepared topographic and construction staking surveys for the sound walls and prepared plats and legal descriptions for right-of-way and easement acquisition. KEI was also responsible for preparation of CADD drawings conforming to MoDOT standards.
HANLEY ROAD BRIDGE OVER MANCHESTER AVENUE
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MISSOURI
KEI performed detailed Topographic Surveys for St Louis County Department of Highways and Traffic’s proposed improvements to Hanley Road, from Laclede Station road north to Litzsinger Road. The project includes a new bridge at the Hanley Road crossing of Black Creek as well as major intersection improvements to the Hanley/Manchester Road crossing. Surveying services included obtaining detailed topographic/utility data and cross sections of Hanley Road, Manchester Road, Litzsinger Road, cross-sections of Black Creek and its tributaries, driveways to businesses and homes and parking lots, utilities, trees & shrubs, traffic signals, pavement striping and marking, & storm and sanitary sewer improvements.
KEI was also responsible for the design of sanitary sewer relocations, corrective design for pavement warping at intersections including the Hanley/Manchester intersection, and preparation of the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan for the project.
LAMBERT ST. LOUIS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AIRPORT EXPANSION PROGRAM
MONUMENTATION AND CONTROL SURVEYS
ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI
As a subconsultant, KEI is responsible for preparation of surveys in support of the Lambert Airport Expansion Program for a number of individual task orders. The scope of work included Monumentation and Control surveys to establish secondary project control stations within the perimeter of the expansion boundary, Aerial Topographic Control Surveys to establish and maintain photo identifiable points for control for photogrammetric surveys. It also included Property Topographic and Boundary Surveys for land acquisitions as required and Topographic Surveys to provide detailed site data in support of design projects and Miscellaneous Surveys and Plats including boring locations, easement preparation and FAR Part 77 Obstruction surveys.
